About me
For students who already have some English ability, lessons can become a place to refine expression, strengthen accuracy, and build confidence in more advanced communication. My classes help young learners and teenagers improve speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and writing through thoughtful, personalized practice.
I have taught English as a second language since 2013 and have worked with students from many different ages and backgrounds. My academic training includes graduate study in International Studies, English, and Spanish, with a focus on creative writing, literature, teaching English, language development, and diction. I have also worked as a professional learning specialist and tutor in English and Spanish.
In class, I support American English, accent reduction, grammar development, listening comprehension, phonetics, reading comprehension, speaking practice, vocabulary development, and writing correction. My lessons are best suited for intermediate, upper intermediate, advanced, and upper advanced students.
For older students, I can also help with business English, colloquial English, interview preparation, ACT, and SAT. Because I have studied and used several languages myself, I understand how language learning can feel both challenging and exciting. My goal is to help students polish their English and use it with more confidence.
