About me
Stories, imagination, and conversation can make English feel alive for children. In my lessons, I like to help young learners explore language through reading, speaking, writing, and creative activities, so they can enjoy English while also building real skills.
My background combines English teaching, writing, drama, and communication. I have experience helping students improve reading confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, and written expression. Because I have worked with language in both academic and creative settings, I enjoy helping students find their own voice in English, not just memorize rules.
For younger learners, lessons can include picture-based discussion, storytelling, reading practice, sentence building, pronunciation work, and guided conversation. For teenagers, I can also support essay writing, reading comprehension, academic English, interview preparation, and exam preparation for IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, PET, and other English tests.
I teach British and South African English, and I work with students from beginner to upper advanced levels. My aim is to make each class warm, thoughtful, and encouraging, helping every child become a more confident, expressive, and independent English user.
